Public Affairs Assistant - BPI
As the Public Affairs Assistant for The Bank Policy Institute (BPI), your success is all about managing priorities, creating and maintaining relationships, and being attentive to all stakeholders. While primarily supporting the Executive Vice President & Head of Public Affairs, you will also be an integral part of our Public Affairs team, which includes government affairs and public relations. Your success will be defined by your strong administrative experience as well as your ability to understand the policy issues we address and the members we serve. While we all work hard and expect you to do the same, this role is an outstanding springboard for your career where you will learn from the best and build an elite network of contacts.
In this newly created role, your excellent communication and collaboration are paramount. You will facilitate meetings and phone calls with advocacy and public affairs working groups, senior staff, members, media, and congressional staff. Demonstrating poise through your professionalism and unflappability, even in the face of conflicting deadlines and priorities, you will be known for your outstanding service. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is able to look around the corner and stay ahead of important milestones, as we will rely on you to keep everyone informed and on track.
You will play a role in supporting prudent regulation of banking. With expanding Washington involvement in our industry, forming relationships and engaging with public officials and policymakers is critical to helping our members understand policies and regulations.
